SPOTYKACH
Spotykach is a dual deck performance looper made by our friends at Synthux Academy, built for slicing, sculpting and reimagining sound through modulation and granular drift.
Handcrafted in Rotterdam, each unit is soldered, assembled and painted by hand. For this film we brought that same handmade, tactile spirit into a fully 3D animated world built entirely around the instrument itself.
A look behind the curtain. Every part of the instrument, from the touch pads and knobs to the wood panelling, was fully modelled and textured in 3D before a single frame was lit. We treated lighting as its own layer of storytelling, using warm key light and soft rim light to bring out the tactile, handcrafted feel of the real device, shot by shot.
